This Privacy Policy explains how Media Converter (“we,” “us,” or “the App”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use the App.

1. Overview

Media Converter is a toolkit for converting and editing video, image, audio, and documents. Most processing happens on your device. We design the App so that your media files stay under your control.

2. Information We Process

Depending on how you use the App, we may process:

• Media and documents you import, capture, or create (video, images, audio, documents)
• Device permissions you grant (camera, microphone, photo library, local network)
• Purchase and subscription status for Pro features (via Apple)
• Advertising-related identifiers and technical data when ads are shown (see Section 5)

We do not require you to create an account to use the App.

3. How We Use Information

We use information to:

• Provide conversion, editing, import, export, and related features
• Save results to locations you choose (for example, Files or Photos)
• Process and restore In-App Purchases through Apple
• Show advertisements to free users
• Improve stability and performance of the App

4. On-Device Processing and Local Network

Media conversion and editing are performed on your device. When you use computer import over Wi‑Fi, the App may start a local network server so your computer can send files to the App. That transfer stays on your local network and is not uploaded to our servers.

5. Advertising

Free users may see ads. The ad provider depends on your region:

• Outside mainland China: Google AdMob
• Mainland China: Umeng (U-AppWin / UMUnion)

These partners may collect device information such as advertising identifiers, IP address, device model, OS version, and interaction data to deliver and measure ads. Their practices are governed by their own privacy policies. Purchasing Pro removes ads.

6. In-App Purchases

Payments are processed by Apple. We receive confirmation of your purchase/subscription status but do not receive your full payment card details.

7. Data Retention

Media you process is stored on your device (or in locations you export to) until you delete it. We do not operate a cloud account that permanently stores your personal media.

8. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Your Choices

You can:

• Deny or revoke permissions in iOS Settings
• Limit ad tracking where available on your device
• Upgrade to Pro to remove ads
• Delete the App and its local data

10. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
